‘Iran ready for post-sanctions era’
Iran says it has devised comprehensive plans to deal with the country’s economic problems both before and after the removal of the sanctions.
Iran's First Vice-President Es'haq Jahangiri says the government of President Hassan Rouhani has devised comprehensive plans to deal with the country’s economic problems, stressing that the plans both address the short-term and the post-sanctions challenges of the Iranian economy.
“The government has done an adequate planning for an important stage in the post-sanction era by means of which there could be a rush of investments in the country,” Jahangiri told reporters.
The westerners, he said, are ready to rush to Iran for investments. On the other hand, Iran’s frozen assets will be released and a perfect opportunity is thus created for the prosperity of the Iranian economy, Jahangiri added.
“The private sector must have a serious participation in projects once the sanctions are removed and benefit from the economic prosperity that emerges after the removal of the sanctions,” IRNA quoted him as saying.
The Iranian first vice-president further emphasized that the government has also made the adequate planning to support the Iranian private sector enterprises in a post-sanctions era.
He said a stronger participation of the companies in the projects could lead to the creation of many jobs for the youth.
